July 2010

We have bred Tanjo Impression (Sophie) to Casino and expect pups early September. Ch Dansen's Sincerely at Tanjo (Ocho) was bred to Ch Hewville Charly's Pride (Charly) and pups are also expected early September.

June 2010

Leila's pups have progressed very nicely and we are thrilled with the quality of these pups. They are busy going off to their new homes at the moment.

Luke has continued to do well in the show ring and has just won the Gundog Puppy group and Group under judge Colin Bohler. We were thrilled with the wins as Luke is not too happy in the showring at the moment, after getting a fright at the East London shows.

We have decided to keep a liver & white female from our current litter, Tanjo Keepsake (Jessica) and hope that she shines in the ring when she grows up.

We are now waiting for Milly to come into season so that we may breed her to Casino before he leaves us for Canada.

April 2010

Leila's pregnancy is confirmed and she is expecting a black/liver litter at the end of April. Luke won the Puppy Group at the Breede Rivier Vallei Kennel Club's open show on the 18 April under judge Michael Vorster.

27 April - Leila has whelped 5 pups, 1 black and white male, 1 liver and white male, 2 black & white females and 1 liver and white female. Mom and pups doing well.

February 2010

Casino has sired a litter of 7 liver and white pups to Ch Hewville Charly's Pride (Charly). After much hassle with Leila having continuous seasons all experts have advised breeding her again. Casino was shown at the KA championship show and won Best of Breed and Group 3 under Gerald Bidder. Luke earned his first CC under Gerald Bidder, and won the Best Springer Puppy.

December 2009

Tanjo Springers are pleased to have Casino finish in the Top 100 dogs in South Africa for 2009. He will be taking part in the Supa 7 competiton in Johannesburg in January.

Tanjo Jedi Knight, the black and white male puppy that we decided to keep from the Casino/Leila litter has already made his mark in the ring, by winning Best Baby Puppy in Show at his first outing at the Kennel Association non-championship show held in Constantia. We look forward to more ribbons from this striking young chap.

August 2009

Tanjo Springers are proud to announce the safe arrival of seven beautiful babies, three black and white bitches, two liver and white bitches, one liver and white dog and one black and white dog - a bit of everything!   All pups and Mom (Ch Tanjo Intrigue) are healthy and well and pups are beautifully marked.

Thank you to Boris Pegan for sending Casino, Ch Otein N' Talking Eyes Magnitude, to us to produce this beautiful litter.

June 2009

Otein N'Talking Eyes Magnitude (Casino) has done it again, with a group win under judge Juliette Duthie and a Best in Show win under judge Sue Impey at the Western Province Kennel Club Non-Championship show on the 8 June.

Casino followed this with back to back group wins and back to back 3rd BIS wins in Oudtshoorn at the Outeniqua and George Kennel Club championships.  Group wins under judges Sue Impey and Coen Huyzers, and 3rd BIS wins under judges Coen Huyzers and Mervyn Heroldt.

Both Otein N' Talking Eyes Magnitude and Tanjo Intrigue are now South African champions.

May 2009

Otein N' Talking Eyes Magnitude (Casino) won the Gundog Group under judge Helene Kessler and went on to win BEST IN SHOW under Madeleine Griffin at the Hottentots Holland Kennel Club Non-Championship show on the 17 May. We have bred him to Ch Tanjo Heartbreak Kid (Milly) and will be expecting pups towards the end of July.

Otein N' Talking Eyes Magnitude (Casino) won a Group 2 and a Group 4 over the East London weekend.  Tanjo Intrigue (Leila), won her over 18 month CC, and will now be declared a champion.  She also won the Mini Grand Gundog Group challenge and went on to win Reserve Mini Grand in Show under Carol Immelman at the Port Rex KC show. She has now been bred to Casino and we will be expecting pups in August.

April 2009

At the beginning of April we travelled to Port Elizabeth for the Championship shows, with Casino and Leila. Leila won two CCs in her two shows, and Casino won three CCs and a Group 2, in his three shows.   Following this Casino was shown at the Breede Rivier Vallei Kennel Club and won Group 1 under Dave Franks.   We have just completed the Pretoria KC and Eastern Districts KC Championship shows and Casino won the CC at both shows and Group 1 at the Eastern Districts KC under judge Mervyn Heroldt.

February 2009

We have leased Ch (Bosnian/Croatian) Otein N' Talking Eyes Magnitude (Casino) from Boris Pegan, Bob and Lori Nieto.  He will be with us to be campaigned during 2009 and bred to Tanjo Intrigue (Leila).  Bred by Lori and Bob Nieto in the USA, Casino has been campaigned to his Bosnian and Croatian titles by Boris Pegan in Europe.   At his first show this year in South Africa, at the Cape Town KC, Casino won Group 1 under judge Angus Peden, and BIS 4 under judge Dale Fabian.  He followed this with Best in Show at the Cape Gundog Club, under judge Donne Lucas.

2008

We left our adults at home for 2008 with the exception of the KUSA Nationals where we won the National English Springer Spaniel 2008 title with Ch Dansen’s Sincerely at Tanjo (imp USA) (Ocho), and only campaigned our homebred puppy bitch Tanjo Intrigue (Leila), and she has really done us proud.  She had thirteen shows, won nine puppy groups and was placed 2nd in the other four shows.  She won Best Puppy in Show five times during her puppy career, with one Group win and a Reserve Best in Show. She completed her puppy career by winning Reserve Best Puppy at the Western Cape Top Dog Competition, and Gundog Puppy Group winner at the Supa 7 Spectacular competition.
